Matching Keys

The smell of wooden tables… the taste of Guinness…
The sound of bagpipes, laughs and songs in the air…
It’s Matching Keys and its show directly inspired by the ambiance of Irish pubs!

Matching Keys is frenzied beats, melancholic airs, music and dance… namely, all the ambiance of pubs in Dublin!

Typical Celtic instruments like the bagpipe, the Irish flute, the violin, the bodhran and the bouzouki, all played with vivacity by passionate musicians who have acquired a vast knowledge of traditional Irish music through their numerous travels and tours in Europe.

Martin Racine has played violin for the Bottine Souriante for 20 years and has thus helped make traditional Quebec music known throughout the world! Martin possesses a truly inimitable swing;
Christophe Garenc, founding member of the Batinses, master of the Irish bagpipe (uilleann pipes) like no other in the province, he also plays the tin whistle (flageolet) and bodhran (Irish drum);
François Morrissette, founding member of the Batinses and the Chauffeurs à Pieds, he has become a reference with his guitar, his bouzouki and his magnificent voice in the domain of traditional music in Quebec City;
François Matte, also a member of the group Rosheen, he plays his Irish flute, his tin whistles and his bodhran at the speed of light. A very passionate musician, he is certainly the most frenzied flutist in the region;
Bill Vincent charms the audience every time with his deep voice and bewitching ballads.
And Kathy Bérubé, who has received numerous medals in Irish dancing (step dancing), will join the group in the near future.

Experience the ambiance of an authentic Irish pub! Musicians passionate about their music, heartfelt songs, energetic jigs and beats, a unique show… a real Celtic party… this is Matching Keys!
